How I work

Getting started

Tell me a little about what you're working on. I'll reply, and if it's worth a longer conversation we'll set one up. Before anything is committed, I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it. If I'm not, I'll say so.

Confidentiality

I'm happy to work under an NDA, and for most of what I do that's the norm rather than the exception. I don't discuss client work, and what you tell me stays between us.

How the work happens

I work remotely and across time zones, though in-person meetings can be arranged when they're needed. I lean on asynchronous tools rather than filling calendars with calls. After years in remote-first environments, I know which tools actually help and which just add noise. If your setup needs it, I can help you put those tools in place and streamline how work moves through them, so collaboration stays clear whether or not we're online at the same time.

Ways to work together

Some engagements are a single question or a second opinion. Some are a defined project with a clear scope and an end point. Some are ongoing, where I'm available as a regular point of contact. We'll agree which shape fits before we start.

What I don't do

I'm not a lawyer, and I don't provide regulated legal, tax or investment advice. Where something needs a licensed professional, I'll tell you, and I can help you find the right one. What I offer is practical experience and judgment, not a regulated service.

Fees

Fees depend on the shape and scope of the work, agreed in writing up front. Whether it's a one-off, a project or an ongoing arrangement, you'll know what you're committing to before it starts. Payment can be made in traditional currency or crypto.
